A website is the term given to a group of webpages. Since the number of pages can vary from site to site, I price by the page.

The first page of the website is often the most labor intensive, due to the menus and other setup tasks. That's why I charge more for the first page. The first page of a standard website is $150. Each subsequent, standard page is $100.*

Each page includes up to five pictures and five links. Each additional picture and link per page will incur a cost of $10 per picture and $5 per link.

STOREFRONT WEBSITE - For a limited time, I am offering a storefront website, consisting of one basic webpage, three photos, and two external links (no menu), for $100.* This option is perfect for those who want a web presence, but are not ready to invest a lot of time or money in getting it.

*The cost of hosting and domain name is not included. These items are required for your site to be viewed on the internet.

Flash websites are more labor intensive due to animation and interactivity. Therefore, they cost more. Because the amount of flash on a website can vary greatly, I charge $50 per hour for flash editing.

Order forms, shopping carts, and video are a few examples of "extras" a client may choose to add to a site. Creating these features will incur a cost of $50 per hour of work time.

Deciding to get a website for your company or organization is easy. Deciding what to put on that website is often much more difficult. Don't worry, though -- I'm here to help!

I can help you combine your knowledge of your company with my research of the websites of other companies in the same business to create a website that meets your needs and the needs of your clients.

The main perk of having me develop your content is this: YOU don't have to write it! Instead, you can tell me your ideas and the key information to include -- or simply provide me with current pamphlets, brochures, and PowerPoints -- and I'll turn it into web content.

With a bachelor's degree in English and years of experience in writing, I'd be happy to save you some writer's block by putting your ideas into words for you.

Content development, after the initial one-hour consultation, will be billed at a rate of $40 per hour.

Some people feel more comfortable writing their own web content. An advantage to this is keeping your "voice," which sets the tone for your website and your business/organization.

Some drawbacks to developing your own content are grammar and spelling errors. Even those who have skill in grammar and spelling can overlook some big errors. It's always a good idea to have someone else proofread your work.

If uncorrected, spelling and grammar errors can give your customers the wrong impression of you and your work. If you would like to ensure that errors in grammar and spelling are eradicated from your content, consider asking me to proof your work.

In most cases, my fee for proofreading will be four cents per word. If the content contains extremely high rates of errors (more than 1-2 per sentence), the fee will increase (but so will the benefit!).

Keeping your website content current is very important to the success of your website. If you don't regularly update your content, people will stop visiting your website, making it ineffective. In fact, internet search engines even stop updating your listing (moving it to the bottom of search results) if content is not regularly updated.

Generally, site updates will be billed at $50 per hour. For frequent updates, I will give you a personal rate quote.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is a vital part of making sure your website shows up in search results through the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, etc.). As I build your website, I will adhere to guiding principles for optimizing your site's position in internet search engine results. With the overwhelming number of websites, however, taking a few extra steps towards SEO sure doesn't hurt.

While I can't guarantee that your website will show up as a number one search result (without resorting to paid internet advertisements), I can assure you that I will take all the necessary steps towards improving your site's position in search results.

Search engine optimization will be billed at a one-time fee of $50.

Domain name - Registering and setting up your domain name will be billed at a flat rate of $10, which includes ownership of your domain name for one year.

Domain-specific Email - Setup of a professional email address that matches your domain name will be billed at $40 for the first address and $5 for each additional address. This does not include setup of email forwarding or setup of handheld devices (phones).

Hosting - Web hosting and setup will be billed at a flat rate of $100 per year. Hosting will be provided through a reputable third-party service.

Analytics - Setup of website tracking through Google Analytics will be billed at a one-time fee of $40.
